Reid back in Forest frame

Andy Reid could return to the Nottingham Forest starting line-up when Doncaster visit the City Ground.

The influential midfielder played the final 20 minutes of Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough and marked his comeback from a hernia operation by setting up Darius Henderson for the equalising goal on Teesside.

Striker Rafik Djebbour's fitness will continue to be monitored after the Algeria international missed out in midweek though injury.

Defenders Eric Lichaj (hernia), Kelvin Wilson (back) and Jack Hobbs (ankle) and midfielders Henri Lansbury (back) and David Vaughan (knee) remain unavailable to Reds boss Billy Davies, who will serve the third game of his five-match touchline ban.

Doncaster are optimistic about Abdoulaye Meite's chances of being fit.

Meite did not emerge for the second half against Watford on Tuesday night after suffering a hamstring injury during the first 45 minutes. The central defender did some work with the club's physio team on Thursday and he is expected to train on Friday.

The news this week that Gabriel Tamas will be out for four to six weeks with a fractured cheekbone, coupled with the fact that Bongani Khumalo is set to miss the remainder of the season after rupturing a kneecap, has left Rovers boss Paul Dickov scouring the loan market for a centre-half.

Dickov also wants to extend the loan of Aston Villa striker Jordan Bowery, whose stay in South Yorkshire is set to expire after Saturday's game at the City Ground.
