Nottm Forest V Burnley at City Ground : Match Preview

Forest wait on Cunningham fitness.

Nottingham Forest hope to have Greg Cunningham available when they return to action against Burnley at the City Ground.

Cunningham, on loan from Manchester City, limped out of the defeat to West Ham nine days ago with a hamstring injury. However, fellow defender Luke Chambers remains unavailable as the Reds captain completes a three-match suspension for the red card he received during the home loss to Southampton.

Ishmael Miller is pushing for a start after returning from an eight-week absence with a foot injury as a second-half substitute at Upton Park.

The versatile Chris Cohen (knee) and defenders Brendan Moloney (knee) and Wes Morgan (ankle) remain out injured. Morgan would be unlikely to feature anyway after Forest accepted a bid for the 27-year-old from East Midlands rivals Leicester.

Ross Wallace is expected to be fit for Burnley. Wallace was replaced at half-time during the 0-0 npower Championship draw against Derby last weekend due to a back complaint.

However, the problem has cleared up, leaving the Scottish winger free to defend his place in boss Eddie Howe's line-up and meaning Millwall loanee Josh McQuoid - who replaced Wallace against the Rams - may have to wait a little longer for his full Clarets debut.

Martin Paterson and Junior Stanislas remain on the sidelines due to hamstring injuries, although young striker Danny Ings could contest a place on the bench having impressed for the reserves on his return from a knee injury.

Burnley brushed Forest aside 5-1 earlier in the season as Steve McClaren's brief tenure in charge of the Reds moved towards its conclusion, but assistant manager Jason Tindall believes they will face a wholly different challenge against Steve Cotterill's side.

"Scoring the goals we scored was great, but it's certainly not going to be that kind of game going to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night," he said.

"They've got a different manager and obviously a different team will be selected."
