Hobbs blow for Forest

Nottingham Forest will be without Jack Hobbs when Blackburn visit the City Ground.

On-loan Hull defender Hobbs was forced off with a hamstring injury during the second half of the 1-1 draw at Bolton last weekend and the centre-half, who is to remain with the Reds according to owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, could be out for around a fortnight.

Danny Collins made his return from a three-month absence with an ankle injury as Hobbs' replacement and the Welshman may start on Saturday.

Full-back Eric Lichaj and midfielder David Vaughan, on loan from Sunderland, will be checked on by boss Billy Davies. Lichaj missed out at Bolton with a knock and Vaughan has been hampered by a thigh problem in recent weeks.

Blackburn's top scorer Jordan Rhodes and their captain Scott Dann are both expected to return.

Rhodes, who has 16 goals to his credit this year, and central defender Dann missed the FA Cup third-round replay at Manchester City on Wednesday with respective foot and groin injuries but boss Gary Bowyer is hopeful they can feature at the City Ground.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson lasted just 45 minutes at the Etihad Stadium before coming off with a slight hamstring strain so he will be assessed with back-up Simon Eastwood ready to fill the void, as he did for the second half of Wednesday's 5-0 loss.

Midfielder Corry Evans could return to the squad following an ankle problem while David Dunn, recently suffering from a hamstring injury, is another who may come in along with the likes of striker Rudy Gestede. Midfielder Dickson Etuhu (ankle) remains absent.
