Assistant manager David Kelly has revealed that Nottingham Forest have been preparing to face Blackpool in the Championship play-offs for several weeks.
Kelly said that Reds boss Billy Davies had predicted some time ago that the Seasiders would provide the opposition in the semi-finals.
And Kelly insists that Forest will be perfectly prepared for the challenge now it has been confirmed.
"The manager has been saying for weeks we would end up playing Blackpool and we have been preparing for weeks," said Kelly. "Now we have got them for certain, we will analyse them as a side again and make sure we are ready.
"They are a good side because they have beaten us twice. There are no poor sides in the Championship and they can beat anyone on their day. It is just about getting everyone ready now for what we hope are the three games coming up.
"The manager has the experience, he has the knowledge and the know-how when it comes to the play-offs. But we will prepare now to go to Blackpool and get the result we want, before coming back to hopefully get the job done at home."
