Last-gasp Adebola snatches point

01 March 2011 23:00
Dele Adebola bundled home a late equaliser as promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest extended their remarkable unbeaten run at Middlesbrough with a 1-1 draw. Forest looked set to suffer a first defeat on Teesside in 38 years when Scott McDonald fired the hosts ahead in the 51st minute. McDonald fired home his eighth goal of the season, finishing coolly at the back post after Julio Arca had failed to connect cleanly with Barry Robson's right-wing cross. Goalkeeper Lee Camp pulled off a series of fine saves to deny McDonald, Leroy Lita and Andrew Taylor to keep the visitors in the game, while Robson clipped the outside of the post. And Camp`s efforts were rewarded in the 92nd minute as Adebola pounced on a loose ball to scramble the ball past Jason Steele from eight yards. Forest move up to fourth in the npower Championship table as a result and now sit three points behind second-placed Swansea. Boro, meanwhile, remain 20th and will wonder how they failed to convert a much-improved second-half display into three points.
