Forest vow to defend charges

The Reds, along with East Midlands rivals Derby, have been charged with failing to control their players and officials following the match between the teams at the City Ground on August 29. Forest striker Nathan Tyson has also been charged with improper conduct. After helping his side record a 3-2 victory in the Championship clash, Tyson picked up a corner flag bearing the Forest emblem and waved it in celebration in front of the Derby fans in the Bridgford End. Rams players Dean Leacock and Gary Teale confronted Tyson, prompting the majority of the other players to rush over and get involved as stewards fought to keep supporters off the pitch. In a statement, Forest chief executive Mark Arthur said: "Nottingham Forest and Nathan Tyson will be defending the allegations vigorously and look forward to presenting our case with evidence at the appropriate time. We will be making no further comment at this stage." All parties have until September 18 to respond to the charges.
