Forest to monitor Lynch

Nottingham Forest will check on Joel Lynch as they prepare to get their play-off challenge back on track against top-six rivals Burnley at the City Ground. Full-back Lynch failed to last the distance against Reading, limping out of Saturday`s incredible 4-3 defeat after 66 minutes due to a thigh problem. With Chris Cohen serving the second game of a three-match ban and Paul Anderson still receiving treatment for the rib injury he sustained against Leeds at the start of the month, boss Billy Davies will hope Paul McKenna can return to boost numbers in midfield. Club captain McKenna could come back into the reckoning after a two-match absence with a groin problem. Nine games without a win has seen Forest fall out of the play-off positions to eighth, four points adrift of a coveted top-six spot.
