Forest through after beating Bantams

After a lacklustre first half in front of less than 5,000 fans at the City Ground, Tyson laid on the opener for Paul Anderson just a minute into the second half.[LNB]Tyson then set up Dexter Blackstock for the second and Lewis McGugan completed the scoring to leave Bradford and their fans sick of the sight of Nottingham, this defeat coming four days after they were hammered 5-0 by Notts County on the other side of the River Trent.[LNB]Chances were at a premium in the first half as the game was played out with almost a pre-season feel - and the vast amount of empty seats hardly helped matters.[LNB]Blackstock - one of seven changes to the Forest side - came closest in the first half when he headed goalwards but the ball was comfortably smothered by Simon Eastwood.[LNB]But the deadlock was broken a minute into the second half when Tyson broke down the right, cut inside on his left foot and delivered a smart cross to the back post where Anderson headed home.[LNB]Forest continued to press and doubled their lead on the hour-mark with Tyson again the architect, this time crossing from the left for Blackstock to volley home.[LNB]Bradford still failed to threaten Paul Smith in the Forest goal, and Eastwood had to be at his best to tip Tyson's shot around the post as Forest looked to extend their lead.[LNB]McGugan - impressive in midfield throughout - rounded off the scoring eight minutes from time after good work on the right ended with Anderson whipping a cross in to present him with a tap-in.[LNB]And the Bantams' misery was compounded two minutes from the end when Jonathan Bateson - making his senior debut - was sent off for a bad foul on Tyson.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
