Forest suffer Perch injury blow
The defender has been nursing a shin problem since the closing stages of last season but scans have shown it to be a stress fracture of the tibia.
Head physio Andrew Balderston said: "We knew James was suffering from bone stress but it takes a certain length of time for stress fractures to show up on scans.
"Unfortunately, our fears have been confirmed and James has a stress fracture that will keep him out for three months."
