Forest round-up

What's been happening at the City Ground in the wake of the Reds play-off defeat? A second successive heartbreak at the semi-final stage is set to lead to big changes in the summer with the future of both Billy Davies and a number of his players already being discussed. Davies has vowed to 'finish the job' in the final year of his contract and take Forest back into the Premier League with top-level meetings scheduled between manager and board to talk targets, contracts and budgets for next season. "We will wait and see how big the changes are," the Scot told the Nottingham Post. "But I have already sat down with the staff to discuss things. "The goal is to make the right changes, to get the right balances and freshen things up." Among the soon to be free agents, Robert Earnshaw is being linked with a return to Cardiff City while Nathan Tyson is reportedly interesting local rivals Derby County. Fellow striker Kris Boyd has returned to Middlesbrough after the end of his loan spell with plenty of focus being put on the overall lack of goals contributed by Forest's plethora of forwards over a season when midfielder Lewis McGugan ended as the club's top scorer. Goalkeeper Lee Camp told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We create so many chances but it's about putting the ball in the net, the teams that score the goals go up."
