Forest patch up pair

Nottingham Forest duo James Perch and Garath McCleary will try to battle through the pain barrier until the end of the season. Reds boss Billy Davies revealed at the weekend the two players are nursing injuries that could bring their campaigns to a premature end. Perch and McCleary missed the defeat at Preston on Saturday with ankle and knee problems respectively. With the squad currently threadbare due to the absences of captain Paul McKenna and defenders Julian Bennett and Joel Lynch, Davies said: "We are patching up at the moment. "I have spoken to the players and Garath is going to have an injection which will help try to tag him along to the end of the season. "James is the same. I have spoken to him and we have got to try and wrap him in cotton wool and keep him ticking over. It is all about patching people up."
