Forest fall short

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies believes his side "are not ready for the Premiership just yet". Davies saw his side, already assured of a play-off place, lose 3-1 at Blackpool, who are chasing a top-six finish themselves, courtesy of Charlie Adam and two-goal DJ Campbell, while Joe Garner netted for Forest. Davies said: "It was a very good exercise, this was the first time in many years that this club has been going into the last three or four games and not either been hanging on or with our season over. "To be in the play-offs at this stage is a marvellous result for this club. In that situation we can usually give players some game time ahead of the really important match, which is the play-off semi-final. "It's a myth that Nottingham Forest are big spenders in this division. Just look at the strikers Blackpool had available, they've got seven or eight. "We've spent £5.2million over three transfer windows and I'm delighted with the return from the players we've bought. We are not ready for the Premiership just yet."
