Forest consider Chambers appeal

The defender was sent off on the opening day of the Championship season following a clash with Royals striker Shane Long. Reds boss Billy Davies believes his player may have been harshly dealt with and plans to track down video footage of the incident. "What has happened, apparently, is that the Reading striker elbowed Chambers in the midriff and, when he was running away, Chambers has put his arm up to stop him," said Davies. "He has run into Chambers' arm and it has hit him in the face. I don't believe there was any intent at all from him to elbow the lad. "I think he just put his hand up to ask the lad a question. He has run into his elbow and he has been sent off. We will look at things very carefully. "We will hunt down the video and if the player is guilty he will be heavily fined. If he is not, then we will do our best to appeal."
