Forest boss fails with Mills bid

The Reds had hoped that an offer of around £2million would be enough to prise the centre-half away from the Keepmoat Stadium. However, Rovers, who are reported to be holding out for £2.5m, are reluctant to do business on the current terms. "They've made an offer, but we are not interested in selling," said Doncaster chairman John Ryan. Forest must now decide whether to return with an increased bid for Mills or turn their attentions elsewhere. Should they persevere with their efforts to land the former Manchester City man, they could face competition from Championship new-boys Newcastle and recently-promoted Birmingham.
