Derby countdown: Jenas to make Forest return?

26 September 2012 09:51
Reports on Wednesday morning are again linking Jermaine Jenas with a loan switch to his former club

With the initial surge of optimism over Nottingham Forest's new owners and the positive start to the season made by Sean O'Driscoll's side just fadng slightly, a one-month loan deal for the England international could fit the bill on both counts.

Now 29 and on the outer fringes of the Tottenham Hotspur squad, Jenas made 29 league appearances for the Reds before his big money move to Newcastle United in 2002.

His signing, if made in time for the big East Midlands derby on Sunday, would provide a big boost for the Reds even if Jenas was not named in the side to face the Rams.
