Defender could miss Rams clash
Davies is facing up to the prospect of being without the left-back for the Carling Cup second-round tie against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night after he sustained a back problem in the 1-1 draw at QPR.
"Joel came off with a really stiff back. He didn't train on Monday and he doesn't look good for Tuesday night and he's touch and go for the weekend," Davies told the club's official website.
"It's a disappointing blow but we'll see how it goes on Thursday and Friday with regards to the Derby game."
