Davies: We will fall short

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies feels his side will come up "a little bit short" in their bid for automatic promotion. Forest snatched a point at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night thanks to Dele Adebola's stoppage-time equaliser and now sit fourth in the table, three points adrift of second-placed Swansea with 12 games remaining. Davies said: "We're a very good candidate for the play-offs. That's what I feel. "I'd love to go up automatically, but I think we're a little bit short and I've said that for weeks. "I'm not trying to play mind games, I'm not trying to be clever. I'm only giving you my opinion." Forest lost out 6-4 on aggregate to Blackpool in the semi-finals of last season's play-offs.
