Davies The Key Says Hat-Trick Hero

Radoslaw Majewski was quick to pay tribute to Billy Davies after the 6-1 win over Huddersfield

"This manager has got our confidence back," Majewski told BBC East Midlands Today after a first win in the Scot's second spell as boss was sealed in style by the midfielder's first-half treble.

"We have got the same players but our confidence is back. We play much better, much quicker and with more energy."

Davies himself feels there is more to come from the Reds but attempted to play down talk of a promotion push, saying: "I said I had unfinished business but I meant promotion was the target within three and a half years.

"The chairman has told us to do the best we can and win as many games as we can. There is a big expectation here and the fans are very demanding."

Opposite number Mark Robins has also been in charge for two games but has seen his new side crumble in both and lamented afterwards: "It's the most embarrassed I've been as a manager.

"I can't believe how naive we've been, if you want to pass the ball then that's fine but you've got to win your battles."
