Davies remains focussed on main goal

Boss Billy Davies has attempted to keep the focus on football at Nottingham Forest ahead of their Championship play-off bid. Davies has commented throughout the season on his frustration at a lack of transfer activity at the City Ground, and airing his opinions in public has not always gone down well with the club`s board. The Scot insisted that only certain questions should be asked of him in the press conference leading up to the first leg of the semi-final against Swansea on Thursday. He even went to the trouble of instructing his solicitor, Jim Price, to contact the media to confirm which subjects he would talk about. To aid clarification, Price issued a statement which said: "Billy Davies will make no comment regarding other football clubs, nor talk about transfer windows nor money spent at the club this season." Davies added: "I'm here to talk about the play-offs. It's all about two games of football. It's all about the end-of-season focus and exciting matches. We are here to talk about the four great teams that are in there, the excitement of those events, and that's it."
