Davies relishing play-off `lottery'

Billy Davies has told his Nottingham Forest players to enjoy the experience of playing in the Championship play-offs - not fear it. And the Reds boss insists he is more optimistic about Forest`s chances than he was when he took both Preston and Derby into the end-of-season showpiece. Forest face Blackpool over two legs in the semi-finals before a possible showdown against either Leicester or Cardiff at Wembley on May 22 for a place in the Barclays Premier League. "I have said that to the staff and the players that most of all I want them to enjoy this experience because they deserve a pat on the back for getting us in there," said Davies. "The play-offs are a lottery but it didn`t matter who we got because this group should not fear anyone. "But, whatever happens, I can tell you that there will be champagne popped because this has been a fantastic job to get where we are. From where we have come from and what we have done, it is all about enjoying this now. "I am really excited about this as well. It is my third club in four years I have taken into the play-offs. I am very excited about this one because we have a very exciting team. They can rise to this occasion. I like what I see in the players and I like what I feel."
