Davies predicts Forest improvement

The Scot is tipping his side to peak around the turn of the year, citing his experience at previous clubs Preston and Derby as the cause for his optimism. Forest are currently 18th in the table but can climb four places with a home win over Scunthorpe on Wednesday night. Davies said: "Look at the league table in January, that's always been my message. My previous teams have always kicked on from November to December. Most of the manager of the month awards I've picked up have been for November, December and January. "Maybe it's a coincidence, but that's been the facts in the last three years at my last two clubs. We have kicked on from that period and we did finish at the business end of the season in the right place and hopefully it will be the same again. "I keep hearing about Championship teams who have made a good start to the season, but all of a sudden we find ourselves just a few points behind those particular teams. That tells me we are moving at the right pace."
