Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies has urged fans to stay off the pitch following the Reds` final home game of the season against Plymouth so he and his players can thank them for their support.
Forest finish their City Ground campaign against the already-relegated Pilgrims on Saturday.
And although the Reds still have the play-offs to look forward to, Davies is keen for he and his players to show their gratitude.
"The backing we have received from our supporters this season, both home and on our travels, has been magnificent," he told the club`s official website.
"We are looking forward to having the opportunity to say thank you for that backing. We intend to do that with a walk-around after the final whistle but that will only be possible if supporters remain in their seats and do not go on to the pitch.
"It is planned that the players will head to the dressing room immediately after the final whistle before re-emerging if the playing surface remains clear."
