Davies: Making top six is main priority

Boss Billy Davies insists he does not care what position Nottingham Forest finish in the play-offs - as long as they secure a top-six spot. The Reds can guarantee an extension to their season with victory at home to Ipswich on Saturday, regardless of what seventh-placed Blackpool do against promoted Newcastle. While Davies still wants his side to finish third and end the campaign in as high a position as possible, the Scot insists he would just as happily settle for sixth place. He said: "Top six is the target, nothing else. I don't mind where we finish in the play-offs. I don't care if we finish fifth or sixth and I don't care who we play either. I just want to get there because that would be a remarkable story for us."
