Davies issues rallying cry

Boss Billy Davies has called for Nottingham Forest fans to turn the City Ground into a cauldron of noise for the decisive second leg of the Coca-Cola Championship play-off semi-final against Blackpool. The Reds must overturn a 2-1 deficit on Tuesday night if they are to reach the final at Wembley on May 22. Davies, who has now guided three different clubs to the Championship play-offs having led Derby to promotion glory in 2007 and Preston to this stage in 2006 and 2005, believes the supporters can play a key role by creating a partisan atmosphere to inspire his players and intimidate the opposition. "It was a good atmosphere at Blackpool on Saturday and we want it to be a great one at our place," said Davies. "This place (the City Ground) can be a cauldron and the fans can make the atmosphere electric. "I would ask the fans to get right behind us from the first minute to the last. I would ask the fans have to come out and show everyone that they are right behind these players. I would ask that they have their best voices on and their colours out and that they make the atmosphere electric. "If they get right behind this Forest team, we will make sure we work very hard to get the result we want."
