Davies hails departing Breckin

Manager Davies admitted he could not promise the veteran defender that he would be a Forest regular in the future, so the former Wigan man will be leaving at the end of the season. "He has been a fantastic servant for this club, he has been a joy to work with," Davies told the Nottingham Evening Post. "He has been left out of the squad at times but has taken it like a true professional. "I had a good conversation with him, because he has too much to offer to just play 10 or 12 games a season for us in the future. And he has to be playing regular football at 33 years old though and we wish him well. "I am sure he will contribute a great deal to another club. He has done everything I could ask of him on and off the pitch, he has been a top pro. We want to give him the send off he deserves."
