Confidence high at the City Ground

Plenty of good news has been coming out of Nottingham Forest already this week

With Dexter Blackstock, Paul Anderson, George Boateng and Garath McCleary all enjoying worthwhile playing time in a closed doors game against York City, manager Steve Cotterill's options are increasing ahead of the return to action against Ipswich Town at the weekend.

And Cotterill's early weeks in charge of the Reds have received the thumbs-up from skipper Luke Chambers, who says there is renewed belief in the camp that stems from the new man in charge.

He told the Evening Post: "He makes us feel as though we can go and win every game we play."

Elsewhere, former boss Colin Calderwood is the clear favourite to return to another of his old clubs, Northampton Town, after the departure of Gary Johnson from the Sixfields post.
