Can Cohen join the Forest greats?

Chris Cohen has signed a new Reds contract and stated his intention to play 500+ games for the club

Currently with 200 appearances to his name and a popular figure among fans as the forum topic on his new contract shows, Cohen has made some refreshing comments about the way he views his football career.

"I'm at a great club and there's no reason why I would have wanted to leave," he told the official club website.

"The thought of letting my contract run down just didn't interest me - I've been a Forest player for five years and can't wait for the next phase of my career with the club."

He may have some to go to reach the appearance numbers held by the likes of Stuart Pearce, Ian Bowyer and Steve Chettle but, if he achieves his other aim of playing for the Reds in the Premier League then Cohen may well be spoken of one day as a true NFFC great.
