Nottingham Forest's former England Under-21 international Lee Camp has been cleared to play for Northern Ireland by FIFA. Goalkeeper Camp, 26, who has played five times for the England Under-21 team, confirmed to the Irish FA last summer that he wanted to switch his allegiance and his eligibility has now been approved by FIFA. Camp, who qualifies through a grandparent, said: "I'm thrilled that I'm now able to play international football for Northern Ireland and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to join up with the squad. "It seems like I have been waiting forever for the relevant paperwork to be sorted out with FIFA and I'd like to thank Nigel Worthington for his patience and for giving me the chance to become involved in the Northern Ireland team."
