Boyd wants Forest move

On-loan forward George Boyd hopes to seal a permanent move to Nottingham Forest. And the Peterborough player wants to prove his worth at the City Ground by helping fire Forest to the Premier League via the play-offs. Boyd scored a spectacular goal as the Reds concluded their Championship campaign with a 2-2 draw at Scunthorpe on Sunday, and the 24-year-old hopes he has done enough to earn a place in the side against Blackpool in the play-off semi-finals. "I want to get something sorted out to stay here permanently. I love it here. It is a massive club and I would love to stay here permanently," Boyd told the Evening Post. "It is up to Peterborough I suppose, in terms of anyone matching their valuation of me. But I would still like to come to Forest permanently. "I want to play football and it was good to get a chance to show what I can do against Scunthorpe. If I can do well in training, hopefully I can play a part in the play-offs. If I can get another goal or two like that in the play-offs it won't do my chances any harm. "I had a chance to show the manager what I can do. I am sure he has an idea of which players will be involved in the play-offs, but maybe there is still time to change that."
