Bogdanovic piles on misery for Forest

Daniel Bogdanovic scored twice to deal a fresh blow to Nottingham Forest's automatic promotion hopes as the visitors suffered a sixth straight Coca-Cola Championship away defeat with a 2-1 loss to Barnsley. Malta international Bogdanovic scored his fifth goal in six matches with a header that looped over Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp in the 12th minute. He then fired his 14th goal of the season from the penalty spot after midfielder Filipe Teixeira went down under Robert Earnshaw's ill-timed tackle after 65 minutes. Forest, who have seen an eight-point gap open up between themselves and second-placed West Brom, ensured a frantic finale after substitute Dexter Blackstock pulled one back from close range with 12 minutes left. After Luke Steele kept out Blackstock's point-blank header he was helpless as the Forest striker followed up to prod home on the rebound. But Billy Davies' side are not the force they were at the turn of the year and with skipper Paul McKenna among several key players injured there was no way back for the visitors.
