A Tale Of Three Forest Strikers

Dexter Blackstock wants contract talks to start soon, Marcus Tudgay impresses on his debut and David McGoldrick equals a record!

Blackstock is one of seven Forest players out of contract next summer and is aiming to get the club to open talks on a new deal soon.

"I've loved every moment being at Nottingham Forest," he has been quoted as saying.

"The club's close to me and that will never change. If someone wants to talk I'm more than happy to do so."

Tudgay, meanwhile, played for Barnsley for the first time at the weekend after his loan move to Oakwell, helping set up the Tykes goal and doing enough to please his new boss Keith Hill.

"In Marcus Tudgay we have an elite Championship player," said Hill.

"It was superb from him to play 90 minutes after being out for so long. It was a nice little combination for the goal."

Another loanee striker continues to fire as McGoldrick netted for the fifth consecutive Coventry City away game, his penalty at Hartlepool equalling a club record that stretched back to the 1930's.
