A different kind of transfer window wait for Forest

The Reds are not in action now until the final day of January - with focus switching to potential departures from the City Ground

Leicester City are set to come back with a renewed bid for Wes Morgan, whose contribution to the Forest cause was highlighted by Steve Cotterill after his return to the side against West Ham at the weekend.

With a number of other players out of contract in the summer and financial pressures bearing down hard, this January transfer window will is noticeably different from the previous two years.

Then the attention was all on Billy Davies and his public spats with the board over the 'stellar signings' he felt were needed to enable the Reds to take the extra step needed to get into the Premier League.

Now it is all about survival at the other end of the table and the fight to keep hold of players who are key to that battle.
