Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder ended a busy transfer deadline day at Carrow Road by snapping up the Wigan Athletic midfielder Antoine Sibierski on loan until January 18.
The 34-year-old Frenchman has spent the last five years in England, having earlier played in his homeland for Lille, Auxerre, Nantes and Lens.
He has since made almost 150 Premier League appearances for Manchester City, Newcastle United and Wigan.
Roeder told the Canaries' official website: "I'm delighted to have secured the signing of Antoine on loan until January.
"This is the second time I've signed Antoine, the first time was when I was Newcastle manager on deadline day in 2006 when, along with Sol Campbell who joined Portsmouth from Arsenal, he was widely regarded as one of the best free transfers of the season.
"He's scored lots of goals, many with his head, and will be a great role model for our younger players to work with."
