Roeder keen to build on win

Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder insists his side should be much higher in the Championship table after watching the Canaries cruise to a 2-0 derby success against Ipswich Town at Carrow Road.

Second-half goals from Lee Croft and Matty Pattison lifted City out of the relegation zone and Roeder hopes it is the start of an improvement in form.

He said: "Any unbeaten run has to start somewhere and this would be the perfect platform. We aren't a bottom-six side.

"This squad is technically very talented and it was no fluke to put five past Wolves.

"We've had our moments against the top sides but we have to prove we can do it against anyone."
