Roeder calls for improvement

Roeder calls for improvement

Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder has demanded an improvement at both ends of the pitch following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United.

The Canaries have picked up just one point from their last five games and now find themselves back in relegation danger.

The Carrow Road club are 18th in the Championship table and only two points clear of the drop-zone.

"Two terrible, horrible goals to concede and suddenly you're chasing a game which you shouldn't be chasing," Roeder told the club's official website.

"Meanwhile at the other end you're creating chances which they're putting away for fun in training. But they're not putting them away in matches and that's something we need to address.

"We need to get a lot sharper in both boxes and that's what we'll be working on in training this week.

"We're still positive as we've played well, but we need to convert that into results as we did successfully during the run that took us away from the bottom of the table."
