Glenn Roeder was delighted to see his Norwich City side move off the foot of the Championship table with a 2-1 win at home to Plymouth Argyle.
Goals from Ched Evans and Darren Huckerby gave the Canaries the points and a third win in four games.
Roeder said afterwards: "We played a lot better than that against Stoke on Saturday and lost the game. That happens in football sometimes and you've just got to accept it.
"We didn't play as well as we could, but we have come away with the three points and, in the position we are in, that is the most important thing.
"Although it's stating the obvious it's a very important three points. It's good to be off the bottom and now we've got to build on this."
