Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder heaped praise on midfielder Matty Pattison after seeing the Canaries fight back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Cardiff City.
The 21-year-old former Newcastle United youngster has taken time to settle at Carrow Road, but Roeder is backing Pattison to become a key performer in the coming weeks.
He told the Evening News: "Matty Pattison had his best 90 minutes for Norwich City since he has been here.
"He always does good things in a game and then he will go and do some silly things due to his inexperience.
"I don't like man of the match because it's a team game and I don't like pointing out individuals, but if you pressed me I would say Matty was our man of the match quite easily.
"He had an outstanding game. He's a lovely, lovely lad, a super lad to work with during the week in training."
