No ill-effects for Nelson

Norwich City defender Michael Nelson is pleased to have shaken off the ankle injury he suffered two months ago.

The 27-year-old defender sustained the problem in September's League One clash at MK Dons, but was able to return to action in last weekend's FA Cup first round victory at Paulton Rovers.

Nelson is now hoping he can establish himself in the Canaries first team after enduring a frustrating time at Carrow Road since his move from Hartlepool United in the summer.

He said: "I feel good, so far there's been no reaction from the ankle.

"Whoever plays wants to come in and keep the club on a high and keep the momentum going."
