Lita extends Canaries stay

Norwich City have extended the loan stay of Reading striker Leroy Lita into a second month.

The 23-year-old has scored four goals in six appearances since making the move to Carrow Road and City boss Glenn Roeder recently admitted that he was keen to keep hold of the England Udner-21 international.

He said: "I have been in touch with Reading and have told them we would very much like Leroy to stay.

"We want him here and, just as importantly, Leroy has told us he wants to be here as well. At the moment I think both clubs are benefiting.

"We have got a good player with power and pace, who knows where the back of the net is.

"From Reading's point of view he is getting games and will continue to get games, which can only be good for his match fitness."
