Keeper keen on Canaries
07 Jun 2007 - 09:26:47
Goalkeeper David Marshall has urged Celtic to agree a fee with Norwich City so that he can make his loan switch into a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old keeper has already been the subject of a reported £500,000 approach from the Canaries which was rejected by the SPL champions.
But after a four-month spell at Carrow Road last season, the Scotland international is hoping to complete a permanent transfer to the Championship club.
"Norwich have high hopes of moving up to the highest level so I'd obviously be interested in going back," he told the Daily Record.
"They're one of just a number of clubs in that division who will be going for promotion next season - which makes the Championship one of the most competitive leagues.
"It will depend a lot on who they manage to bring in during the summer, but they can be up there challenging with the rest.
"I really enjoyed my time there and when you look around and see the size of the club you know it's a good place to play your football."
