    Earnie eyes Canaries return

    27 Mar 2007 - 11:15:18

Injured Norwich City striker Robert Earnshaw claims he will be back to full fitness in two weeks as he bids to return from a groin muscle problem.

The Canaries' 17-goal hot-shot was expected to miss the rest of the campaign after tearing a groin muscle during a training session in January.

But the Wales international believes he will play again this season and could return to action before the end of April.

"I've been doing quite a bit of fitness work for six weeks or so," he told the club's official website.

"It's getting there now. I'm kicking a ball and doing everything that I'd be doing anyway, but strength-wise I'm probably 60 per cent so hopefully over the next two weeks or so I can bring it up close to 100 per cent."

Meanwhile, the Canaries have handed a trial to non-league striker Jon Main.

The Tonbridge Angels forward currently leads the way in the Ryman League's scoring charts with 37 goals this season.
