Earnie aims to stay put
28 Dec 2006 - 10:15:53
Norwich City striker Robert Earnshaw has played down talk of a move back to the Premiership in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Wales international has already bagged 16 goals for the Canaries this season, sparking talk of interest from Portsmouth and several other top-flight clubs.
However, Earnshaw is happy to stay at Carrow Road, telling the Eastern Daily Press: "You like the attention, but most of it is probably just paper talk.
"You never know what could happen, but I've said always I love playing football here and it gives me great joy going out there every week, so that's what I'm going to keep doing.
"I'm not looking elsewhere until things happen, but I'll hopefully be here at the end of the season.
"When clubs do come in for you it's a good sign, it means that I'm doing well, but I'm happy here."
