Norwich City have offered veteran Dion Dublin a new one-year contract, but he has yet to decide whether to extend his career.
The 37-year-old impressed for the Canaries following his arrival at the start of the season, but is talking things over with his family before accepting the offer of a second year at Carrow Road.
He told the Eastern Daily Press: "It is up to me what I do next year. The club have been good enough to offer me a contract, which is great. They are waiting for me to get back to them.
"I have to do the right thing for me and my family, so if it means I don't sign here it will be because of my family and myself, no other reason at all.
"So there is no reason for me not to sign here, but it is a long way away from my family.
"I want to continue playing. I feel okay - a few aches and pains as you'd expect. I will play for as long as I possibly can. If I feel right I will continue playing."
