Double deal for Canaries

Norwich City have completed a double transfer day swoop by landing Scottish duo Simon Lappin and Mark Fotheringham.

Lappin, 24, has agreed a move to Carrow Road for an undisclosed fee from Scottish Premier League side St Mirren.

The left-sided midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Canaries.

Meanwhile, City boss Peter Grant has also snapped up midfielder Fotheringham until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was a free agent after being released by Swiss side FC Aarau last year.

Fotheringham began his career at Celtic and made three first-team appearances at Parkhead before moving on to Dundee and then Freiburg in Germany.
