Former Tottenham defender Gary Doherty has pledged his future to Norwich City by signing a two-year contract with the Canaries.
Doherty has made 147 first-team appearances for the Championship side since his arrival at Carrow Road in the summer of 2004 and boss Glenn Roeder is delighted the 28-year-old will be extending his stay with the club.
"At times last season he was our most consistent player and a very safe defender," Roeder told the club's official website.
Doherty made 34 appearances for City last term.
