Coppell predicts Lita extension

Reading manager Steve Coppell expects on-loan striker Leroy Lita to extend his stay with Championship rivals Norwich City.

The former England Under-21 international claimed a hat-trick in the Canaries' 5-2 win over Wolves on Tuesday.

Lita had started the season down the pecking order at the Madejski Stadium and Coppell has suggested the striker is free to extend his stay in East Anglia.

He said: "Leroy just wants to play. He wants to score goals, they are his lifeblood and he's done that now.

"He helped us by beating Wolves, but first and foremost he's helped himself and indirectly that could be to our advantage.

"In terms of whether he stays there, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

"I'd imagine on the back of a hat-trick Norwich will want to extend it so we'll speak with Leroy and see."
