Clark in Canaries talks

Newcastle United have given permission for Norwich City to speak to Lee Clark about becoming part of Glenn Roeder's backroom staff.
Former Toon boss Roeder was appointed Canaries manager earlier this week and has been granted permission by his former employers to talk to Clark about becoming his assistant manager at Carrow Road.
Clark, who is the reserve team manager at St James' Park, was part of Roeder's backroom team at Newcastle and it looks like it is a relationship that both parties would like to rekindle.
The Geordie-born midfielder started his playing career at his hometown club playing over 150 games in nearly seven years for the Magpies before moving on to play for local rivals Sunderland and then Fulham.
In 2005 Clark returned to Newcastle under Graeme Souness and a year later was handed a player/coach role at the club when Roeder took over.
