Canaries wait on Marshall

Norwich City goalkeeper David Marshall faces at least six weeks out of action after suffering an ankle injury in the 4-0 FA Cup fifth round defeat at Chelsea.

The 21-year-old, currently on loan from Celtic, has had the injury x-rayed already, but requires a scan to decide the extent of the problem.

Boss Peter Grant told the club's official website: "David had an x-ray and that was all clear, but it doesn't really make it any better.

"He will be having scans and we think there's ligament damage. Obviously, at this moment in time we don't know how serious that is, until we get the results of the scan back.

"But it doesn't look that great at this moment in time. I would say the best we can hope for is six weeks. That's the best we can hope for."
