Canaries target Lita extension

Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder is hoping to be able to extend striker Leroy Lita's loan stay at Carrow Road

The 23-year-old has scored four goals in four games since his arrival from Reading and netted a last-minute winner in the 2-1 weekend victory at home to Doncaster Rovers.

Afterwards, Roeder said: "I have been in touch with Reading and have told them we would very much like Leroy to stay.

"We want him here and, just as importantly, Leroy has told us he wants to be here as well. At the moment I think both clubs are benefiting from our point of view.

"We have got a good player with power and pace, who knows where the back of the net is and from Reading's point of view he is getting games and will continue to get games. hat can only be good for his match fitness.

"For his first two games he wasn't quite match fit, but he's been improving all the time and we've seen in the last two games what he can do."
