Norwich City have won the race to sign Blackburn Rovers striker Maceo Rigters, who moves to Carrow Road on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old Dutchman has struggled to make his mark at Ewood Park since his arrival last summer from NAC Breda, failing to score in seven appearances for Rovers to date.
However, City boss Glenn Roeder is confident that the Holland Under-21s forward will prove to be a hit in East Anglia.
He told the club's official website: "I am delighted that Mark Hughes has agreed to let us sign Maceo Rigters, a player who I first saw play for Holland in the Under-21s European Championships last summer where he was the leading scorer.
"I think that this is a good opportunity for him to come to us with seven games to go and show everybody what he's capable of doing - scoring goals - which have been lacking this season.
"It was also nice to know that we beat off strong interest from a number of prominent Championship clubs for his signature."
